As mentioned some time ago, I am waiting for my contract to expire with PA before
seeking re-publication of my book, "To Beirut and Back." In the
meanwhile, I am doing a thorough book edit (that had not been done before publication) and at
the same time adding things.
In the book, I made reference to Jimmy Carter and corresponding with him. Would I need authorization from him to
include his letters to me? Since he is a public figure and the letters were addressed to me, my thinking is that I
wouldn’t, but would like your input.

I'd ask for his approval just to be on the safe side. A publisher might require that you have it.
