| No resolutions, just choices.
I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, because we all know how those turn out, generally. However, I do make choices, and thought I’d share, just in case you like any of them for yourself.
Instead of Resolutions, Choices:
Beginning now, I choose:
Each year to grow a little younger at heart;
Each month to grow a little lighter in Spirit;
Each week become more compassionate and kind, and to grow a little wiser;
Each day to remember to nurture Self as well as others;
Each hour to find a reason to smile;
Each minute to remember to be thankful;
Each second to live completely in the Now.
Wishing you a bright and glorious New Year filled with perfect choices! |

| My New Year's resolutions never last. I'm thinking of compiling a list of grudges, instead. I'm better at that. lol |

| I resolve to not pass up good, dark chocolate. I resolve to make most of my wrinkles smile lines. I resolve to try new, locally-owned eateries. I resolve to enjoy my writing and not allow editing to become a chore. I resolve to stay in contact with my friends, both online and in person. I resolve not to beat myself up if my resolve falters. Good enough? |

| It is the small bits of kindness that make up living. I will be more aware of the kindness and more expressive of my appreciation. This day, my neighbors have been lovely. Our well for the water of our house and our strawberry farm has 'shit the bed' and is no more. The neighbors across the fence have allowed us to connect to their pump for the water to our house. That is a big thing to us. Our strawberry farm is endangered. Hydroponic lives on water. How wonderful people are! Tomorrow is a new day, New Years Day. I wish you all a lovely new start to a new year. I do wish our Carol was here. My best love, Betty |

My biggest wish is for Carol to get better. My 2nd wish is to move back to New York State to be near my sister-in-law. My third wish is for everyone here to have good health and a great year..
Cheers..Joe |

| My resolution for the new year is to appreciate the moment I am in. So much of life is spent wanting something else. Sometimes, just being aware that we have all we need in this moment is enough. Moments add up. |

| I'd love to see your farm some day. I do drive...I just might see your "you pick" sign. I like fresh, local stuff, especially local people with big hearts, open minds, and appreciation for life and the living things that populate our world. |

| Dear Diane, Like I said before, you are a beaut! Your heart is out there beyond your self, hugging the world. If I could, I would zap you bliss. Well, our Ann knows about the bliss, I am more in the fairy Godmother kind of zapping myself. I just wish that my wand was more powerful and could reach outside my gate!!!! Love, Betty |

| David, that reminds me of the man who struggled to become humble, and when he felt he finally succeeded, he was proud of it. |

| "...me, I'm out to conquer forumland now as some livewriter would..." said the goblin, adding "...and yes, I don't even know what a livewriter really is, only that it's never been done before, and after that I'd like to capture the moon too, though that's been done before countless times...", simply the goblin had to cup the moon in his hands like he had done in his childhood, saying "...ah yes, I was so much better at catching moons when I was that little, then all types of rationality cluttered my mind and somehow I lost the knack of it, so today too I don't want to be some rational writer here, no I just want to capture it in words each time..." |

| My New Year's Resolution is on the following website: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yv-Fk1PwVeU
According to the Mayan Calendar all our troubles will be over Dec 21, 2012. Eat, drink and be merry. Don't worry - be happy. |

| No need for worry, Abe. The Mayans don't say that the end of the calendar means the end of the world. They expect a shift in human consciousness that will mark the beginning of a new era of peace. There are many who say that this shift has already begun. I seem to remember recommending this site to you some months ago: http://www.infinitebeing.com/2012.htm Ann |

| Ann, good web page. I don't seriously think the end will come. The Bible thumpers keep making predictions and fail to acknowledge the passage in the Bible that says, "No man knoweth the hour or day....Mark 13:32
I believe the world will eventually end in the condition as we know it and return to its original form, but not in our lifetime.
Don't worry, be happy. We have only to be concerned with our personal lives ending prematurily - not the end of the world. |

| My News Years Resolution is to be ready at all times for the world to end.
That way it won't matter when it happens. |

| This morning's widget quote seems to fit here: - Quote :
- Just as from the old cosmologies of the simple tribal peoples there was an enormous step to the vast cosmologies of the monumental cultures, so we are right now experiencing in our own lifetime a step as great: from the monumental to the mechanized world, to the no-horizon world, to a world that makes the sort of multiple nature of old Hellenistic civilisation look very simple.

| "...nah MYAHAHAHAHA, I'm not wishing you happy new year humans, I'm going to wish you a whooping great hangover for new year's day instead..." went the goblin, explaining "...or just wishing you some reckless youthful recollection of when you once had a whooping great hangover for new year's day that is, and weren't they worth it at the time, even if you don't actually remember what you did nor how you got there now..." |
