I seem to be having a communication crisis. The whole point of the thread was to show that recognition comes slowly and through persistence.
Mr. Planemaker's Flying Machine was published May 2005. I produced the video in August 2007 -- two years after the book came out. It is now June 2008 and a video with the title of my novel is now on a World News page.
I haven't made the kind of money that Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie have or had the publicity of Shilpa Shetty but my video is alongside these famous people.
By any standards, it is astonishing. |

If I tried to do a reading on camera, I fear that I would go through 10000000000000 re-takes before I got through it without fumbling the words. Good job. | A British TV company did a series on World War II. They had me on the episodes about the Normandy invasion and the liberation of Paris. When I told them I didn't want to drive to Niagra Falls, where it was being filmed, they drove my wife and me to and from there in a limousine - about a 400 mile round trip. Almost made me feel like a bigshot. Almost, but not quite.  |
