| Win what?
Why let them kill you?
Does anyone know what they want?
All I know is that they attacked our trade center, we went to war wiith Iraq and Afghanistan.
Please fill me in.
They have cost us billions in war --we are deeply in debt. |

Why kill us? I still don't understand their motivation. |

| Normally I love flying. I remember once, though, coming back to Hawaii from Hong Kong, when I bought a book to read over the long flight. The book was Airport. I kept imagining the the wings were going to fall off, or something, and was very glad to get on the ground. Ann |

| Ann, Will you now wait for the plane to blow up? These bombs are so sinster, they can be detonated by a cell phone. |

| I'll fly. I just won't read books about terrorists during the flight.

| Motivation? What motivation is needed to hate?
Starvation, malnutrition, no employment, bombed out cities, powerless, hopeless, fear of superior power occupation,
Those without, hate those with. Those without need a goat to blame so they don't accept responsibility for their own.
How about religion as a reason to hate? As good as any. I have it right; you have it wrong; you don't matter. Get rid of you and there are more like me.
That's why fanatics and radicals anywhere are so scary. They are easily brainwashed and mobilized for bad. They are good followers, hoping for a cure for their own problems when, in fact, they are part of the problem.
Remember, it was not a country that bombed the World Trade Center, it was a group of radicals, terrorists. It was an excuse for the Bush Administration to go after Iraqi oil and vindicate Bush senior. It was a shell game to look in charge to the American people at a time when the administration was looking poorly already with an economy slumping. Usually wars help the economy; this one broke its back.
Remember the movie, Wag the Dog, with Dustin Hoffman? A war was created to divert attention from the president's affair. Even though it was a fake war, the idea was clear. |

| DK, We have nothing, but debt.
Maybe they should focus somewhere else. We borrow to help other countries.
We have employment troubles too.
Wierd situation.

| Alice, the view the rest of the world gets is the top % of the U.S. Citizens who continue to become wealthier. They don't see the rest of us. The poor don't travel to other countries and flaunt their wealth. |

| Thanks DK. You said it well.
As for the terrorists: The media gives them the attention they want. It gives them power. We have security agencies whose job it is to protect the citizens. Let them do their job. Scaring people doesn't make them safe. The terrorists learn what they need to know by watching the news. They know what security precautions have been taken and then devise something else. By denying publicity to the terrorists, they lose. |
