Terrific. Think about doing a version for the iPad, too. If you use Smashwords.com, you can get your book into the format for iPad and on the Apple iBooks bookstore.

I like the book version that I have. It was one of the first I bought. How about that?

Right, but the advantage is having it listed in Apple's iBook store. That way you get exposure in the two largest e-book markets: amazon and apple.

That's nice, but there is a difference. With your listing for a Kindle book on amazon, Kindle owners can use their Kindles to find your book and download it directly to their Kindles. Or find it online from their PCs and do the same.

With a listing in iBooks. you get the same kind of convenience. Direct download, store to iPad. It isn't just exposure per se. it's that instant gratification that comes from a compulsive purchase. One-click shopping, so to speak.

LOL! The book I keep linking to is not mine. I did a search on Amazon.co.uk to find the Kindle edition of the book. It pulled up the Kindle book at the top of the list and, across the screen, books with my name on the front (as author or editor). At first, I paid no attention, but later, when I needed the link to post here (having closed down my browser), I did the search again. This time, I noticed a book with my name on the front published by LCC. It is me -- I presume my "fame" is from the serialisation of Mr. Planemaker's Flying Machine on Peston FM in 2009. If you click on the link to another online bookstore, and scroll down to the book details, I am listed as having a chapter (about me, not by me) in the book. I've no idea what is in the chapter. Here's the link again:

I am really selling nothing but kindle books. I think the lower price point, lower selection available and the fact that online advertising reaches ebook readers makes a difference.
