ACT 1

It was a surreal sight

Two combatants faced each other under shimmering moonlight

Lost in the vastness of Africa’s boundless grasslands

The king of beasts stared down a solitary man

Yet the human expressed no fear

He crouched and faced the lion Mumfaso with a sneer

Naked as when he was born

This man was of no known norm

Mumfaso was in his prime

Pure muscle and claws reacted when it was time

This man met the beast’s mighty leap

Both combatants tumbled down into a convulsing heap

The fury and power was sufficient to astound

Yet in this remoteness, surely, no witnesses were around

Razor-like claws tore at this human’s flesh

Yet this man stood and slammed his fists into the lion’s chest

The sound was enough to cause blood to run cold

Yet a man wrestled this lion to the earth with an inhuman hold

What manner of mortal could withstand the might

Of the male lion Mumfaso on a moonlit African night

Although they reasoned to be alone

Someone watched and recorded the raging battle going on

The two combatants parted without a hint of hate

Deciding this epic battle was a stalemate

The pair turned and ran until they could be seen no longer

Together hunting for prey to satiate their boundless hunger

Later the world would look on with amazed eyes

One hundred million viewers in wonder at why this man survives

Who, or what was he, where had this person been

Did he come from the same ancient garden in Eden

Sounds like Tarzan but I don't think he tangled with a lion.
