Amazon Shorts

If you didn't get the email from Amazon Shorts, the program ends June 1, 2010 and all rights to the stories are returned to the authors and the site will shut down, including the discussion board. Authors may request their story files in html if they wish to convert them to Kindle.

Since everyone will not be moving their stories to Kindle, I would recommend that anyone wishing a story for $.49 download them before June 1, 2010. Please pass the information on to your other message boards as I already know of one author whose email changed and did not receive the email.

There are also readers who still planned to download stories and they will not be receiving the email. There is no big announcement. It will just disappear into author dust and memory.

The reason is that Kindle is the digital format they wish to support.

This internet stuff changes with whims, it seems. No guarantees for longevity. Shelagh has stayed the course. She is one in a million. I know it has been a battle.

I see this new poster, flea guy. He never posts anywhere but the thread he first posted on. It is all about him, I think. We are just the audience.

It is all from "elsewhere" so it cannot be new. I do love the pictures. Rambling like in a dream...well we all do it going off to sleep.
