NYT you asked how far from old I was. Well some day to old and on other not old enough or so the saying goes. As to what you have written or not, that is your business. If you wish to share it with the rest of us, it would be nice. But I never really thought it was a rule to be a member so I am happy just to have a colourful character such as yourself here. I'm on the west of Scotland, Ayrshire to be exact. As for someone leaving because of something outside of the forum, I find that sad. I think we all have things to offer each other, wisdom, a good joke or a supporting hand when needed. Yes we like all friends will not always agree and some may find it a challenge to get on with others here. But that is what makes this forum a good place to come for a moment diversion to our lives.

NYT,

To play the Old Course, you have to apply before the day you want to play. There is a draw every morning for the order of play. You then have to phone to see if you have been selected and to find out your tee time.

One of our friends from Glasgow took across a group of Americans to play the Old Course. When they arrived, Sean Connery was standing in front of the R & A club -- he'd missed his tee time! None of the group offered to change places with him!
