Just saw this on PA board, I wonder if their
in trouble ?


Pa pulled the thread ! It was an author who was concerned that his royalty check was returned stating that account was closed ? I wonder
what is going on ?

It states on the royalty statement that the check expires after X number of months.

I've also have seen where authors have waited
two months and haven't received their book
orders ? I don't know and guess what I don't
care , my next book will be published by me,
that way I'll know what's going on and if there
are any royalties I'll know how much..

The only reason I brought up the subject is
I've seen so many authors disappear on their board the
minute they start asking legit questions...I understand
their fears, especially if they put out money for large
orders and they don't get them when they are told they
would...I'm not concerned , because my next few books
will be pubished by me, I'll have total control ...Not that
I don't appreciate that they published four of my books,
but as you get on you start learning about publishing
and I can name my own price, which would be cheaper
than $16.95 , this way everyone can afford to buy
books to read....

The board is there to help sell books. It is counter-productive to allow posts that would interfere with that purpose. It is their board.

Any POD publication is pricey - regardless of the publisher. Perhaps you can do it cheaper; but PA has their own printer even. Their books get pretty cheap with some of their "specials." I bought one hardcopy that cost me $14.95 plus shipping - and it was worth every penny with 500 pages of reading.

Those specials are only open to the writers, though. Awhile back when they were advertising a deep discount special that I read about on this board, I think, I went there to order some books. I learned that that price wasn't available to the general public. I wasn't going to pay $25 each for them.
