| Maybe I should wear my glasses--that's probably what they are for. |

| That was a great video. I grew up with the Two Ronnies on BBC TV. "It's goodnight from him, and it's goodnight from him", was how the shows used to end . What would we miss if God never gave us the miracle of eyesight? |

| I had a nice chuckle with the two Ronnies. It reminded me of my trip to the eye doctor this last year.
I wear contact lenses so I look rather normal. But when I take them out to be examined, I am virtually blind and have to be led.
The nurse put me into a room and instructed me to remove my lenses. I sat there winking and blinking until she returned. Some 20 minutes or so. She turned off the light and switched on the eye chart light so that it was the only light in the room.
"Please read the last line that you can read," she instructed.
I could almost make out the big E, but it was not clear. I told her that and she said, "Well! We must go for the finger test then!"
It is still dark in the room.
She waves a hand way over to the side out of the light of the big E and says, "How many fingers do you see?"
I have to admit that I made a wild guess. She flipped on the light and said that the doctor would be in soon.
After the dilation, I was an owl looking straight into the sun.
The drive home was a real experience.
Abdul, Is that the photo of the daffodil house mountain. You are right, sight is a great miracle.
Love, Betty |

Ahad..
That's beautiful, did you shoot this ? Today I go for my eye exam , it's been two years. I know my vision is slightly off, the glasses I have now are too short and the bi-focals hit me in the middle of the eyes, so I'm going to have them use my other glasses which have a larger lense. I can't use contacts because I have a stigmatism ...
Cheers..Joe |

| I had eye surgery about five years ago. The eye doctor said he would not renew my prescription, that I needed surgery for cataracts. Now just that word "surgery" puts me in a tizzy. So we live in a small town, with great doctors, and during surgery the doctor decided he could fix my astigmatism, this problem that has kept me from hitting tennis balls, etc. It was miraculous. For the first time I could see well without glasses. However, I was too old to become a tennis star, but it was so much fun to see well.
However, the last time I went for a check-up the doctor told me I needed some glasses for distance, that he hadn't promised perfect vision forever.
(Joe, I couldn't wear contacts either.)

| I am closely related to Joe and Carol when it comes to contacts. In High School which for me, was boarding school, my friend decided I must try on her contacts. Brainless me, did it! The results were instantaneous. Tears began streaming. She said, "Take it out" I couldn't get it out. She clawed it out of my eye. The dean heard about it and said "Alice would you like to try my dentures on next?" |

That's beautiful, did you shoot this ? I wish I did, Joe. I found it on a google search for wildflowers. I am highly fond of wildflowers, and the chalk hills surrounding the town where I live are beautifully decorated with wildflowers. |

| Sounds like the Texas Hill Country every spring: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/11/washington/12cnd-johnson.html?_r=1 And thanks to Ladybird Johnson(pictured), the same is true along the highways, every spring, all through the state. http://www.keepbanderabeautiful.org/wildflowi10.jpg Ann |

| Wow Ann... that's quite awesome! Rail roads and highways are the natural habitat for wildflowers this side of the Atlantic as well... |
