SHOULD THE TERRORISTS BE TRIED IN NEW YORK CITY ?

Hi Everyone..

Do you think the terrorists should be tried in New York
City ? My answer " NO !" I come from New York and I would
hate to think these low lifes would try something again. I know
the downtown area , there are thousands of people who work a
few blocks away on Wall Street. I feel they should have been
tried 8 years ago by the military. What is your opinion ?

You called them terrorists before they had a trial and were proven to be terrorists.

If that belief is commonly held throughout the NYC area, then I wonder how the defendants can get a fair trial. Wherever it happens, finding an impartial jury will be rather difficult.

Like you, I wonder why they weren't tried 8 years ago.

What has happened to "innocent until proven guilty?"
Having someone sit in jail trying to build a case against them, without evidence, does not happen in a civilian court. Those held at Guantanamo have no rights. Justice?

I agree with all of you that they should have been tried years ago. If they committed crimes against our country they should be sentenced.

There are people in prisons all over our country who have committed heinous crimes, and the idea of being in prison is punishment and also security for others. Decisions need to be made following our system of justice.

I believe we have a better chance of keeping people safe from these people than many wandering around committing murders, such as those in some cities where the death rate is sometimes greater than in a battle zone.

It is doing what is right, what is in keeping with our Constitution.

The military doesn't follow the same rules as our civilian justice system. They can be held purely as suspects.
