Network on NING

Would someone, (Shelagh) please tell me if the Published Authors Network is on NING.com. (Or whatever it is)

I have been getting solicitations from another group on ning that want to charge for services that I think most of us are getting for free at one place or another. If ning doesn't charge someone to set up a network, I guess I have a problem paying them for space to do a book promo there.

I looked at ning, and it seems that a person can set up a network of their own, if they have the time and the energy to try and keep it going. I don't have the time, and I don't really care about setting up a network, but I'm not at a place where I want to pay someone to use a network they set up for free.

So, I guess what I'm really asking, is if the ning networks are truly free, and if anyone that wants to really can set up their own network?

If the network is iFOGO, then the NIng site is free (iFOGO Village): http://ifogovillage.ning.com

The sister site is http://www.ifogo.com//main.html with different services that require payment.

If it is some other site, then I'll check it out for you.
