Vanilla Heart Publishing has opened submissions for poetry and prose (fiction and non-fiction) with a nature and nature's gifts theme. The deadline is December 31st. Half of the proceeds from the anthology will be donated to The Nature conservancy. For information, see the VHP blog on Xanga at: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Malcolm

I celebrate Earth Day each year by putting the first app of Diazinon on my garden. I guess that's not the kind of prose they're looking for, though?

Could you repeat that in English, LC? I can't seem to come up with an idea of nature reaping a benefit from murder unless it's the killing of a bigtime polluter. Doubt if that's what they have in mind.

| Probably not, Dick. Just write about a killer or a PI being kind to his fine feathered friends because they might be somebody's mother.

Weedkiller, Dick, weedkiller! I celebrate Earth Day each year by spraying pesticides on my garden.

Why am I not surprised? I celebrate it by. . .well, I guess by ignoring it.
