My debut book, THE DOWRY BRIDE, is a novel set in India and tells the story of one young woman trapped in India's arranged marriage and dowry system and her escape and extraordinary journey to freedom and hope.

The book has gone into its third printing within 10 weeks of its release by Kensington Books. Lots of information about the book, the press and other tidbits about India, the dowry system. and Indian recipes are posted on my website: www.shobhanbantwal.com
