Printing from the Kindle Fire Empty
PostSubject: Printing from the Kindle Fire   Printing from the Kindle Fire EmptyMon Feb 10, 2014 1:33 pm

I was thinking that it would be nice to have a Wooffer coloring book attached to each of the stories that could be printed from the Kindle via a printer.  I do not know if this is something that is possible or not.  It is one of my flash ideas but I like it better than some of my hair-brained ones.  The idea being that I could use the coloring pages as illustrations through the story and that they could be selected and printed with or without the words of the story.  It is just an idea that came to me in my agony of trying to find a financially acceptable solution to illustrations that I am not talented enough to do myself and not rich enough to hire it done.  I could use free internet pages and give creit to the site that they were found on.  What do you all think.  Is it possible?
Love,
Betty

It's a great idea, Betty, but you are ahead of your time. At the moment, printing from Kindle is not as easy as clicking on a print icon. If you produced a print book, you would need a publisher to make significant sales. Most children's colouring books are sold in chainstores such as Walmart:

Thanks Shelagh,
I have decided that what I can do is to add at the very end of each story:

"Thank you for reading this story.  Please go to woofferbook.com and click on Wooffer's Coloring Book to print free coloring pages of the characters that live in Wooffer's Woods."

What do you all think?

Love,
Betty

Or at the beginning - yes.

Better than that, Betty, you could include the drawings at the back of the e-book and add:

"Thank you for reading this story.  All the drawings included with story are available FREE. To print the coloring pages of the characters that live in Wooffer's Woods, please click on this link: http://www.woofferbook.com/wooffercoloringbook.htm"

You could colour some of the drawings as well as leaving them blank so that children could see a finished, coloured drawing.

Thank you all!  I thought of coloring some like you say, Shelagh.  I am off on a new adventure.  It will take me a while.  I thought of having different school children color some of the pages and giving them the credit and their school if the school agreed.
Publishedauthors.org is one special place.

I remember years ago when I gave your book and cd's to a work colleague for her two children.  She told me they loved the drawings.
