I finally decided to change my avatar on the forum. Hope everyone likes my new one, the picture is one that I consider to be one of the best pictures of me ever. It was taken in September 2007 and was featured on my featured member page the last time I checked. Just thought it was time for a small change. Smile

Glad you all like it. It is one of my all-time favorite pictures. In fact, if I had published my book a month later than I did, there would be a good chance it would be this one instead of my old avatar on the back cover. Too bad it wasn't taken a month earlier. My new avatar is also a self-portrait. I put my digital camera on a shelf, set the 10 second timer, and stood in front of it. Usually when I do a self-portrait, I shoot it multiple times and keep the best and this one was clearly the best that day back in September 2007 (and one of the best ever in my opinion).

This is the picture after I improved it in Photoshop. I removed the water stains from my shirt and took out the shelf so it doesn't look like it's growing out of my head.

Gordon - or should I be saying Peter? I agree that this is your best avatar, but I could see all along that you were an attractive guy. (You get that I am a 65 year old grandmother, so this is not a come-on) What I did not realize, at least to the degree that I do now, until you posted your philosophy thread, how enlightened you are.

You can call me either. My name's Peter Gordon Kennedy so either Peter or Gordon will work. I used P. Gordon Kennedy on my book, but anyway, thanks for the compliment.
