| I finally decided to change my avatar on the forum. Hope everyone likes my new one, the picture is one that I consider to be one of the best pictures of me ever. It was taken in September 2007 and was featured on my featured member page the last time I checked. Just thought it was time for a small change. |

| Nice, Gordon. Very knightly. Looks like you're about to mount a charger and ride off to rescue a maiden.
Or perhaps vice versa |

| Glad you all like it. It is one of my all-time favorite pictures. In fact, if I had published my book a month later than I did, there would be a good chance it would be this one instead of my old avatar on the back cover. Too bad it wasn't taken a month earlier. My new avatar is also a self-portrait. I put my digital camera on a shelf, set the 10 second timer, and stood in front of it. Usually when I do a self-portrait, I shoot it multiple times and keep the best and this one was clearly the best that day back in September 2007 (and one of the best ever in my opinion). |

| Lin nailed it, you do look like a knight. The only thing missing is the shining armor! |

| This is the picture after I improved it in Photoshop. I removed the water stains from my shirt and took out the shelf so it doesn't look like it's growing out of my head. |

| Gordon - or should I be saying Peter? I agree that this is your best avatar, but I could see all along that you were an attractive guy. (You get that I am a 65 year old grandmother, so this is not a come-on) What I did not realize, at least to the degree that I do now, until you posted your philosophy thread, how enlightened you are.

Ann You can call me either. My name's Peter Gordon Kennedy so either Peter or Gordon will work. I used P. Gordon Kennedy on my book, but anyway, thanks for the compliment. |
