PEACE

Accusations, counter-accusations, placing blame, threatening to leave, justifications, pointing fingers, and whatever else one can think of, prompted this post. And then we wonder why we have problems in our society, between nations, and not to forget religion, where everyone thinks they got it right.

Unless one is writing a book about strife, about relationships gone sour, and/or the cause of wars, I can’t see how the problems created on this forum in the past days can benefit anyone.

Have you ever tried to “unfry” an egg? What is past is past. It’s time to move on. You can’t undo what has been done. The only thing you can control is what you will say or do next.

This is a writer’s forum. I come here to learn, to be encouraged and provide help when I can. I suggest we all take a deep breath and start afresh. Responding to a post that digs up old crap is the beginning for a new war.

It's a nice forum. Always very peaceful and a place to share a quiet moment of tranquility and contemplation, much like going on a forest walk in the early morning when the birds are singing and the sun streaks in between the branches and the leaves.

Let us hope it stays that way forever and always

Though I have seen the so called arguments, I have always been mystified as to how someone could or did take offence at post made by others. If you don't agree with a person that is fine and in a forum it is a great place to discuss it like adults. there is no need in my opion, if that is worth anything that is, to act like children fighting t see who can shout loudest. If you do then I might not be heard or anyone else for that matter. I hope that we could all celebrate our differences and so learn from them, rather than act like a bunch of nazi's who demand we all act as well as think like them. I apoligize if I have upset anyone with this post yet felt I needed to say it.

Malcolm, I think most of us were a little in the dark. Whatever, it seems the board is back to normal. Seems we owe Shelagh a huge vote of thanks.

Yes, Abe. I agree with Pam. Often, adults must agree to disagree, even in marriages. (I haven't killed him yet. YET!) I am really grateful that the forum is back again, there are too many good things here that would be a great loss if the forum was dismantled. Thank you Shelagh.

Abe, I agree with you up to a point. I am only posting this because you were one of my friends who asked me to come here. Peace is something we all hope to obtain, but it is an impossibility if the truth is ignored, and people refuse to acknowledge they may have erred and make amends to those they have wronged. Then maybe people might feel good again.

Trying to play catchup here and got totally lost. At least my link to here worked and I can keep in contact with my fellow authors and friends. Thank God for that! I don't want to know what happened. I am just thankful that it is over. It is over, isn't it?
