| Also did it take longer or less time to write the next one? |

| I wrote my first novel, The Power of Persuasion, in six weeks (2,000 words/day) in 1998. Mr. Planemaker's Flying Machine took ten months (with a two month break in the middle) and iwas published in 2005. Ten years after writing the first novel, I spent over a year rewriting, editing and then self-publishing in 2008. |

| Three difficult years for my first novel, the second in two years and now I can knock one off in six months. I am always writing. |

| Well, knocking off unpublished novels is something anyone can do. Six months? What took you so long? |

| The poster didn't ask about published novels, just our first book. |

| That's an excuse for not being published? |

| Personal reasons. If you'd like the details, PM me. I don't feel like broadcasting that information to the masses. |

| Why not? We don't shy away from saying that we are published by PA and look at the way we are treated because of it. If you can't take the stigma of being unpublished, you shouldn't put PA authors down, especially when they have moved on to small publishers/self-publishing. At least they have books out there that are being read. |

| Turkel, all you feel like doing is stirring up trouble with the masses. Why don't you summon up the courage to apologize to Betty Fasig for that post on her thread? Oh, I forgot an unpublished writer like you would rather just preach about your unsurpassed knowledge of the publishing business. |

| I wrote Keechie in three months, plus another three polishing it up and trying to convince myself it was worth publishing. The sequel, Granny Boo, took six months to write due to the historical research involved. I have spent a year since editing and looking for a publisher - and found one! Actually, she kinda found me. I had paid for a professional edit, and when she finished it asked me if I would consider letting her publish it.

What was wrong with it? I just re-read it and I don't see it. |

| You know exactly what was wrong with it -a cheap attempt by a nobody to stir up trouble. Are you the person who posts on the AW board under the pseudonym PVish? If not, you didn't even write that cheap shot yourself, you just plagiarized it. But why not, you're a born loser. Being the gutless wonder that you are, you didn't have the courage to leave it there. Deleting it came a little too late. A lot of people saw it and know you for what you are.

| I wrote the first book in the Harpe series in about 7 hours, the second took less time because by then I were an experienced writter. I eideted both of tham for about 30 minnets each, and am proud to say I have soled almost 7 million copies of each book. 13,999,992 copies was purchased by me, and my wife bot anuther 6 copies. I honestly don't know where the last two copies went. Somewhere in Alaska I thinks.
I plan on writting another book tomorrow, but first I has to finish the plotting of the idea.
Thank you all for you raped attention. If I wuz turkel, I'd not want to meet Dick. Old age and treachery will win out over youth and speed ever time. |

You plot? I just re-read Stephen King's On Writing and he says stories should be character driven. He frowns on plotting... |

So are are all. We particularly have problems with those who hide behind multiple sign-in names, "borrow" material from other writers, and post other people's photos without permission. Ann aka "Glasses Lady" |
