| In 1985 when we moved to Kirkland, it was the home of the Seahawks. The Seahawks ran often past our home. Last night was great for us. |

| I worked for the Department of Fisheries in Kirkland when I lived in Tacoma. I typed number of fish in columns. Glad to see them win, too. |

| 1968 - but I'm wrong - I worked in Olympia I think. Now I'm not sure. I was only there about six months. My fiance was stationed at a military base - Ft. Lewis I think. We were engaged on Mt. Ranier in the full moon reflecting off the snow and my white corvette with the hard top off and freezing in blankets. He opened the ring box and the diamond shown in the moonlight. We dined at an empty restaurant with a roaring fire that we needed. It was very romantic and very cold. |

Last night was great for us. I live in the Bay area...49'er fan. The Seahawks showed at the super bowl...they are a great team. I am glad they won. The earned it. I may put the 49'ers aside fore them...they know how to play football. |

| Talking romance - go to www.diamonddistrictusa.com and look at the local ad during the Super Bowl. A local boy asked a local sweatheart to marry him as part of the commercial - in reality. It's really cute to see. It's also on Youtube of course. Ties together the Super Bowl & Romance. |

| The Hawks are home and it is freezing cold. President Obama called and congratulated them.
Can't wait for their parade. |

I do not like google. Three times I have had to get my computer cleaned of google. They come into computers uninvited, and take over. I do not like google, green eggs, or ham. I like how your team plays football. I do not like their big mouths. As to your State, I have lived there. I like the people, I do not like the weather. Everything is always wet. If it would just rain it would be okay, but all it does is drizzle 24/7. If, and when the sun finds a hole to shine through, the whole State goes outside, and says, "OOOOH, Ahhhh." |

| You are in good company. When our weather is good, it is the best and otherwise it is the worst. |

| I spent ten days in August in Seattle. It was hot every day and no rain. I made the mistake of diving into Lake Washington. It was like iron bands. I think I walked on water. There were a few people doing laps. They must have been from Antarctica. I had a friend who lived in Seattle and said one year it rained steady for 40 days. |

| Here in California we have big fans on our side of the State line. They blow the weather from the north pole back up to the States in the north west. I will say one thing about your weather Alice...the overcast keeps the women looking young. It's strange, but the men look like old leather? |

Check the weather first; Some time back I was in San Francisco. I met a family from Portland that had come down for a week of sun...it rained the whole week they were here. I felt so sorry for them. When it rains in California, it comes down hard. Our weather is not the same anymore...it used to be great. |

| The last time we came to Disneyland, 2010, they graced us with rain nonstop and even provided a small tornado in Anaheim. We had fun anyway. After all Disneyland is the happiest place on earth. |

| I hear that! It's another example of hew we can choose to focus on the good, the happy part of an event, and ignore the less comfortable circumstances. |

| I went with a friend to Jamaica for ten days. For eight of them we had a downpour. Streets were flooded and some not passable. We had a wonderful time! We went to the mineral baths in the mountains, floated down the river on a raft, climbed a waterfall, swam in the pool high in the hills overlooking the sea, drove through the cane fields and bought pieces to eat, bought baked potatoes from the side of the road and coconut drinks - we couldn't have done more or enjoyed it more if we'd had more sunny days. We just did what we planned in spite of the weather and since much of it was in the water, the water from the sky wasn't so bad. I must admit though, it was warm rain. |
