They sound happy--hope they got what they needed/wanted. I am not informed as to their cause. Could you explain their situation, Please.

Earlier this month, protesters in Istanbul occupied a park that the government was planning to raze to make way for an office building, if I remember correctly. It was mishandled by the police, and has been escalating:

They're still "singing a song of angry men....a people who will not be slaves again" in spite of the government's stand.

The situation in Istanbul is especially troubling. This was a completely peaceful sit-in, but the government took extreme measures to attempt to break it up. So far, those measures haven't worked. It has gone way beyond the original issue to being about basic human rights.
