My broadband is down

Friday, we were supposed to be switched over to Sky for broadband and telephone. Friday afternoon, the broadband went down and stayed down. Then the phone was cut off and we lost all communication with the outside world apart from a mobile phone that wouldn't look out of place in an electronic museum.

We argued with Sky all weekend and finally cancelled the order. We have to wait fourteen days to get our telephone reconnected to British Telecom and three weeks for broadband access.

I'm sitting in my husband's office typing in this message on his computer. I will pop in here occasionally until everything is set up at home. If you don't see me around much you'll know why.

Yikes. I know what that's like. We "upgraded" our internet about a year ago, and the stupid service provider dumped our old internet a whole month before our new service, and even when we got the new service it would only work one out of ten days. Took us nearly two months to sort things out, and over a hundred hours on the phone.

I hope that you have nothing like that atrocity, God help you if you do.

We have become so dependent! Some days I miss the days on the sailboat when I didn't know who was elected president until a few days later.

Thank you for telling us why you aren't here.

Just checking in to say that it never rains but it pours. I uploaded the poetry book, A Thousand Words of Poetry, to CreateSpace because Lulu did not allow the book size I wanted with colour photos included. Everything went fine until I ordred the proof on January 29th. The book didn't arrive. I contacted support and they replied with an estimted delivery date of March 13th! (is that a Friday?)
