| They don't talk on cell phones or text.
They give you their full attention and expect yours in return.
When they come, you are not ignored:) |

| Dear Alice,
Babies are perfect. Babies are pure spirits, not yet encomubered by the trash people will pile on them in their very first year in the name of survival. Human or animal, it is the same. Lot of stuff to sift for such a small, new spirit setting out on the journey of living.
We made it, and so will they, each and every one.,....we hope.
Love,
Betty |

| Dear Betty, I guess we are the only ones enjoying their charms at this time. We are lucky!

| Dear Alice,
If ever there was a miracle, new life is one. Be it plant, animal or human, it is all just as wonderful. What intricate processes prouduce the new being! Every seed I plant demonstrates the miriacle. Every baby born proclaims the miracle!
I had a fish tank, once. The kids were small and we stocked it with live bearing fish....Mollies and guppies and swordtails. Watching a baby fish unfurl out of it's egg sack was awesome.
God bless babies of all kinds.
Love,
Betty |

| So many projects going I've been to busy to post much. Here is my grandbaby, all dressed to go home from the hospital, almost 4 years ago: Annie |

| While I was trying to find that picture of Jaycie coming home, I kept running into this one - her Aunt Susan just after arriving home: |

| Only one of my siblings was born in a hospital. The rest of us were born at home with the assistance of a midwife. Fortunately today there are hospitals and all my children were born in one. If a hospital had not existed, my wife would have lost her life during childbirth.
Babies are special as well as the staff of doctors and nurses who care for the mother and baby.
I remember seeing my son behind the nursery glass for the first time. I prowdly wore a tie that said, "It's a Boy"! I had a pocket full of cigars to hand out to well-wishers. Holding my baby for the first time remains an unforgettable experience. |

| So glad you were born, Abe, and glad your wife survived also. I am thankful for hospitals too as I probably would not have done well at home either.
Ann,
Jaycie is so tiny--refresh my mind--what was her birth weight? |
