Gratitude

I started a gratitude blog at WordPress.com but seem not to post very often. Today is full of gratitude.

First, I am grateful for all the new members of this forum that are posting their experience with writing and their great books, blogs and ideas.

Next, I am grateful for the rest of the members who have shared my experiences with life and writing since 2006. My, how time flies.

I am also grateful for the man and his wife in Tifton, Georgia who were also on their way elsewhere who took the time to lead me to Walmart in the fog to get my flat fixed at 7:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning one-third of my way from Florida to Michigan.

I am grateful for the police officer near Macon, Georgia who pulled me over for the appearance of drunken driving as my road-hypnotized brain let my mind wander in weaves across I75. He saved my life and perhaps many others on that dark, cold, black night.

I am grateful for my elderly mom's physician finding the cause of an illness so she is free to accompany me back to Florida for the winter and for the two days of safe driving and clean, comfortable motels so far.

I am grateful for technology that lets me re-connect though far from home.

In conclusion, I wish each of you holidays of peace, joy and love shared with friends and family. May all your dreams bring you the things you need and some of what you want. Happy Holidays and the best New Year yet.

Home at last. 21 hours. Long haul. So grateful that traffic was rational and we are safely arrived.

I wish equally safe travels to the members of this forum and family traveling to share the holidays.
