| A Doctor was addressing a large audience in Tampa. "The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High fat diets can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water. But there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all have, or will, eat it. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?" After several seconds of quiet, a 75-year-old man in the front row raised his hand, and softly said, "Wedding Cake." |

| Hmmmm. Alice that answer is loaded. I won't go there.
Food for thought can also be dangerous. |

| Abe and Victor,
You passed with flying colors. It was a lousy joke. Not in the least bit funny! Your wives are lucky. |

| A bit of background here: I was trying to find some humor for my mother-in-law. Her shoulder has been bothering her and she has been laid up for three weeks with the news which has been dreary. I try to talk to her about the past and she gets mad because she can't remember much. I finally ran a search for jokes for old people and this came up. I was skeptical and feel exonerated by the response here. Thank you.
By the way, she wishes to be termed "old" and takes extreme offense at "elderly." |
