Nice memories, David. They forgot Bette Davis, too.
Those were the days of smoke and glamour and dubbed singing.
Lovely!
Love,

A good list, David. Some of the younger ones don't seem so pre-60's in my memory, but I'm not that into actresses.
There is one, though, was left out, maybe because comediennes aren't thought of as glamorous beauties, but Abe's post - sort of reversed - reminded me of this film:
Of course, I would never, ever, think of an actor as any kind of guardian angel - muse? well, maybe one or two.
These clips (sorry, there used to be one that included both scenes) involve one of the actresses in David's video, and follow a similar theme, though less imaginary, to the one above. Of course, I'm sure that you guys would never take things as far as the "councilman" in the first clip.(warning though - contains "F"- words):
I especially liked the scene a few bits later, when Lynn hears a knock on the door, opens it to see Officer White, who only says two words: "It's Bud."
Did me in, for sure.
Annie

David, I didn't mention Sophia Loren, although she was a "Huba, Huba, Ding, Ding, you've got everything" - personality.
Having more than one movie star love was not uncommon. My wife is still enthralled with Errol Flynn. She likes to watch his old movies that takes her back to her childhood heart-throb. Guess I never measured-up to that Swash Buckler. Flashing a sword just doesn't do it nor can I swing from those Chandeliers. Perhaps swinging from them with a rope around my neck might work.

Yes but wasn't Flynn a Nazi sympathizer during WWII? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/australiaandthepacific/australia/5799641/Errol-Flynn-worked-as-a-Nazi-spy-and-met-Adolf-Hitler.html

David, that has been proven false. Accusations about communistic sympathizers were common during that time. Nothing much has changed. Give someone a label, true or false, and it sticks.

David, it took you to say what is in our hearts. Sometimes I feel like making a comment about the women on this forum and then change my mind. Too often comments are misinterpreted and the backlash is fast. There were times when we could compliment a girl/woman and get a pleasant response. Those same comments made today in some places would get you a charge of sexual harrassment.
Guess I'll just keep my feelings of love and respect to myself. Although intended to be a sincere compliment, they may not be taken that way. If only people could read my mind. Oh no, that would really do me in.

"All that glitters is not gold."
Looks have to be supplemented with personality, a kind and a pure heart. Most of the ladies I've met here have all of those things, and much more.

Don, does that mean we are on the same page? What will we do when people evolve to the point where they can read minds? On the plus side we may no longer be available to get slapped. The problem with that condition means we will be lying under the turf and although that may be a plus factor for the slap-er, it will be a negative for the slap-e.

Reading minds Abe? Think what they will do to books? No body will need to read books anymore they will just read a mind or two before going to bed. Imagine libraries full of people with interesting minds sitting on shelves waiting to be read! "Read anything lately dear?" " Why Yes! Only last night I went to bed and read Abe! What a saucy read that was!"

I like the way you think, David. On the other hand, reading minds may cause an increase in the divorce rate. "But dear, I was only having a dream." "Yes, but the dream indicates that you were thinking about someone else." Hmmmm. How can one get out of this predicament?

Simple a tin foil night cap worn for sleeping! It works for me since wearing one at night I have never had my wife snoop into my dreams! Plus since I started wearing tin foil I have never been abducted by Aliens!
