| Vowed I was done with this section, but am listening to TV news (very bad idea) and alarms are going off in my head.
Wasn't the last president to run on his business acumen named Herbert Hoover???

| Romney/Ryan don't even have business acumen. Romney never set up a small business. He looks at a business balance sheet, determines how to suck the life out of it and implements that plan. For the Olympics, he sucked the money out of the Federal government. That's what saved the Olympics. He's a salesman, and is maxing a minimal experience history. He always had people working for him that did the real work. He is boss. He's not a collaborator. He is losing in Mass. - his state of governorship - where he was able to accomplish the health care plan with the help of none other than Ted Kennedy - the collaborator of all time.
He is a jerk, an empty suit, a rich sales pitch, a man without a core except whatever he has inherited from the Mormon church which has some very strange history that's not very much in the past and is still strange today.
You are right to be concerned, Ann. He is holding 49% which is terrifying to think so many people have swallowed his sales pitch and the lies of the PACs. SCAREY! |

| My point was that Hoover was president when Wall Street collapsed and the Great Depression began, so it doesn't seem to me that it would be a thing to brag about, valid or not. Historically, businessmen do not make very good presidents. |

If you think the above is bad, you didn't read much on facebook that has been consistently said about President Obama, a sitting president in the Office of the President.
Mitt Romney is a former governor who couldn't get enough support from his own state to run again and is 32 points behind President Obama in Mass. I have watched every speech he has made and read everything he has written and I stand by "jerk" because every word out of his mouth is put there by his party and is mostly lies. He is selling the American people a bill of goods and it is pitiful. He can't hold the same position from one speech to another...and therefore exhibits no core beliefs.
I do not wish to offend you. However, I feel my comments are quite mild compared to my anger at the continuous lies from the Romney/Ryan ticket. |

| 11/2/2012 The hatred in this country is shocking and disgusting ! I even read on a site called Tweets ( I think that's the name ) several young African AMericans have said if Pres. Obama looses they'll burn major cities down, at first I was shocked then again I shouldn't be since I lived through the riots of the 60's in Bklyn NY, then again I thought these young people are un-educated , ignorant and don't realize there stupid for saying such a statement ! Joe...... |

| Remember that the world has access to tweets and facebook; and there are many singular people whose hate thoughts are a matter of concern. I hate no one and feel anger, but it is anger at policies and not people. I fear those with hate ideation because nothing is worth the physical expression of anger.
I will say that people on fb have called me terrible names for posting the truth on a photograph that is an absolute, fact-checked and documented lie. When I pointed that out, I was called many names and then unfriended so I could no longer post truths.

| I am sick of it all--have done my best and hope Obama wins. Ann is right the Hoover years were a disaster. I have no respect for most Republicans now. They are not shrewd or prudent.
Colin Powell, Chris Christi , Bloomberg and Don J Stephens are exceptions:) |

| DK. So long as there is freedom of speech, keep speaking out. Truth is seldom well-received. Seems people prefer to hear lies and it appears that those lies appease them.
When you speak truth, you don't have to remember what you said. Those who lie continue to lie to cover up the previous lie. It must be a big problem to remember what lie covers what lie.
As for Businessmen as President. As a former businessman, I can't imagine this country being run as a business. A business is based on monetary profit. Where is the monetary profit in running a country? There is some correlation, however that applies to the private sector. Government engaging in war means that the defense industry benefits. A Government is about people. "...by the people and for the people..." It takes a humanitarian to govern people, not cut-throat businessman/woman.
The above is my opinion. When I lose my right to have an opinion, I have lost my right to think. |

| When people you feel some kinship with say vicious things in response it does not feel good. I cannot post any longer to the false photographs that my author "friends" on fb continue to post, those that have not unfriended me altogether.
The worst thing I have said on fb is "empty suit" because that is what Romney is. After all, they called President Obama an empty chair - and President Obama is a person of conviction and substance. No one has to wonder what he stands for. It's clear and consistent.
Romney/Ryan simply spew out the speechwriter lingo - that changes with the funders. Therefore, they have no core beliefs that are consistent. That's purposeful I imagine - obviously it works with 47% of the voters. If you have no core, the voters that want to vote for you can imagine you are anything they want. |

| Lying is so deceitful People are so gullible. A lie goes round the earth as truth puts on its shoes.
Just my observations. |
