What was the most horrible medical test you took ?
Me, a body scan and they inject iodine into your veins
and it makes you ill !

A fine needle aspiration of my pancreas. I call it "the murder attempt."

They put a needle down your throat into your stomach and poke it through your stomach and into your pancreas, As you gag and retch they say," hold still now," and hold you so you cannot move.

They put you out, but didn't get me far enough under--Gag City!

I am very thankful to be alive--however the operations were no fun either.



The worst was the brain job. Having a drill drilling in my brain was most unnverving. God was with me is all I can say.



The pancreas surgery was pure misery. The triple coronary bypass was no fun when my sternum sounded off.



Enough!

The doctor bent me over for a rectal exam. A string was hanging out. He pulled on the string and more string came out. As he pulled, the string coiled up on the floor. Then it went taut. He gave a yank and a bouquet of roses popped out.

I said, "Where did that come from?"

He said, "Wait, I'll see if there's a card."

You gave me my morning smile with that bouquet of roses, Al.

The catheterization procedure preceding my heart operation was most unpleasant. They installed two stents via a catheter. Although they gave me a relaxant, I had to be awake during the procedure to answer questions. Feeling the probe as it moved through the vein from the groin area to the heart was frightening. Being immobilized, completely at the mercy of someone hoping you don't hear the "Oops" expression was not a walk in the park. No flowers or cards would have helped, Al.

You needed a humorous crew like I had. I still laugh when I think of them The heart cautherization is scary. One guy was particularly funny. He was a real comedian.

I said,, "Don't you dare kill me--we have Neptune and have paid extra for them to get me anywhere in the world. I will be so mad if all they have to do is come here to collect me."

He stomped his foot and said, " I have ordered the killing to stop."

We all laughed. Then I said," Don't let a germ get on me I have no spleen."

He swiped his hand through the air and said, "I caught the germ."

It is hard to be nervous when you are laughing.

Before my last brain surgery, I went to my doctor for surgical clearance. "I hate brain surgery, I whined. "

"How strange, Everyone else just loves it!" She shot back.

Even the brain surgeon was full of it. My anesthiologist was pregnant. I was so surprised I exclaimed, "She is pregnant." as she wheeled me into the OR. The brain surgeon was standing by the door dressed in his green suit. "Yes," he answered, "The important thing is does her husband know it?"



I hope Joe has a funny crew.

I guess I have been pretty lucky. I haven't had the need for many medical tests other than pregnancy tests, which lead to the most painful of my medical circumstances. And the positive results of those experiences were an outstanding three-for-three success rate, which has compounded over the years.
