Unemployment benefits to be cut by Congress !

By the end of the year un-employment benefits will be cut !
I know several people who have been looking for work after
their art galleries closed, here so far 25 art galleries have
closed , there are no jobs ! Read on.....What is your opinion ?
Mine extend it till their are more jobs...

My opinion is move where the jobs are. Take the jobs we're told we won't do. Too many government entitlement programs taking this country broke.

I don't agree that the entitlement programs are the cause. Entitlement means you're entitled. If the representatives in government are entiled to pay, then I'm entitled to my SS pay. It is my money that they are paying back to me. Our taxes pay the salaries of the government workers.
The government needs tax money to operate. Those who have the money aren't paying their fair share. That's a large part of the problem.

We need some Robin Hoods.

As for moving where the jobs are, I think many have done that. I know many who are taking whatever job they can find. Some have three jobs to make ends meet. If you know of jobs available, please post them.

Not many people can just up and move to another
state, from all I've read this morning on CNN , people
in this country are "SCREWED !" It's the 1930's all over
again.. I read how companies and Corp.'s are hiding
billions of dollars under their mattress and they have no
plans to hire anyone....Yesterday's article nine companies
are firing 56,000 people in order to keep their profits ! I
think it's high time we have very strict laws, if you move
your business out of the country then you pay 75% Taxes,
you want to see how fast they move back here...

Don't be ignorant ! Many people own homes, have
families, many don't have the money it takes to move
from state to state. Many companies today can pick
and choose out of 14 million people out of work, many
have chosen to hire part time, that way no benefits are
paid, very cunning isn't it ! This country won't change
until politicians are voted out of office in 2012 because
they are either stupid or cunning and probably in the
pockets of big companies ...

Problem solved!

The jerks on that video don't deserve anything. That doesn't mean they are representative of all people seeking help. When we find abuse, action should be taken to stop it and controls to prevent it happening again. To punish honest people for the abuse of a few is not justified.

Do people want to see videos of people dying before help is made available?
Assistance with education is important, but that cannot compare with assistance for survival.

I think part of the problem is that many have never been destitute, or know people who are in a bad way. How can one truly understand hunger unless they have experienced it? I'm not suggesting that people go hungry for the experience, however for some, it wouldn't hurt.

The guy on the video is a ass. The only thing he should get is a good thumping.

I didn't say they're representative of all people. I do think that there's enough of them that it's seriously draining our collective resources. Taxing the rich more isn't going to help. There aren't enough of them. Making the so-called "poor" more self-sufficient will.

The Govt. should set up work programs like in
the 1930's, people would be hired at a fair decent
wage, say $15.00 per hour, 40 hours a week. There
are many things they can do , roadwork, cleaning
streets, helping the elderly, etc.

If one bad apple can spoil the barrel, I suppose one idiot can pull down everyone here. I don't know if LC is really as stupid as her posts make her sound, of if she's just trying to get someone to answer her. I tend to think she isn't really all that bright, and it's easy enough to see that she knows next to nothing about how a lot of people are being forced to live in today's society. She reminds me of the old saying about the person with the 220 volt mouth, and the 6 volt mind.

Right now the market dropped 512 points so far
for the week 1400 points and it's predicted it will keep dropping
today people lost 800 Billion in funds, what a horror ! This country
is in deep S...t....

BTW, people aren't just living like this in "today's society." These entitlement programs have been building for decades.

No, Joe, it's a buying opportunity. The market has dropped like this before, and it will come back. Like it always does. I'm checking out prices on my fave stocks right now.
