167 Billion dollar bail-out for Greece. Did you hear it? That was the sound of the toilet flushing.

Can you imagine what a difference it would make for just one Billion to create jobs?

Henery Kissinger, political scientist, and professor of government, as quoted in The New York Times, October 13, 1976.

"Every civilization that has ever exited has ultimately collapsed. History is a tale of efforts that failed, or aspirations that weren't realized...So as a historian, one has to live with a sense of the invitability of tragedy."

Kissinger spoke truth. Every government of the past, and future, has, or will fail. What's the answer? Most have turned a deaf ear from the answer.

Brilliant. I continue to marvel at the wonders of Asia, the Middle East, South America and Africa where past civilizations of great grace and complexity have disappeared into the dust.

Perhaps, they too were consumed by power and greed and lost sight of "matters of consequence" to quote Antoine St. Exupery in The Little Prince.

Power and greed seem rampant in the U.S. Concern for our fellow travelers in this life seems at a low. We've lost sight of the fact that "me" needs "you" for a long-lasting quality life.
