Most seem to be fly-bys promoting a blog or book. Maybe I'm missing something.

Some are; but others do post here occasionally and might post more if they felt their words were meaningful. I felt like you initially; but after I started reading and responding I have found some interesting exchanges of ideas and thoughts. Some are "test posts" I imagine and may seem like a "fly by." But perhaps if we respond they might stop in for a longer chat and share their expertise and experience?

Great idea! I deleted my unaswered post. I kinda of keep track and if there is no answer after about 10 reads, I figure there is no interest and remove the post.

Sometimes all they need is one answer to get them going.
