Reflections on Father’s Day Empty
PostSubject: Reflections on Father’s Day   Reflections on Father’s Day EmptySun Jun 15, 2008 12:10 pm

A single man dies before father's day who wrote about his father and talked about his son. Tim Russert was one man among countless men. It is interesting that his only books out of everything that he did in his life was about his father and the others contained letters that people wrote to him about their fathers. His son just graduated from college and he comes back from a trip to Paris celebrating that occasion. He had just moved his own father into an assisted living center. He comes back home to work on the next Meet The Press show and dies of a heart attack at work.

What a message, his son is now prepared to go forward in life. His father is set up to live out the rest of his life. His wife is a career woman and can fend for herself. He is called from this earth after the most exciting political season ever. What was left to be done?

All fathers should be so lucky as to be so finished with their responsibilities when they are called home. My father and mother left this earth together in a head on car collision with another vehicle. Their job was completed with 9 adult children with kids of their own. Many fathers are still working to get to a place of completion, some seem to be unaware of their responsibilities and I hope they gain insight.

There is always hope.

Happy Father's Day to all present, past and future.
