A question for Betty Empty
PostSubject: A question for Betty   A question for Betty EmptyWed Mar 23, 2011 7:41 pm

The crop circle thread had 251 replies and it was viewed 2513 times

Could you describe the difference (well enough that a person could go into a circle and tell the difference) between a man made circle and a non-man made circle without going to the thread?

I can. A man made circle is not quite round, and still has partial ears of corn lying about on the ground, and the ground itself is still composed of nothing but earth. A non man made crop circle, on the other hand, is perfectly round, there are no left over ears lying around, and the ground has been fused into baking soda.

Guess you didn't think any knew the difference, did you?

The number of registered users on any forum is much greater than the active participants. Most folks are lurkers, and some forums require them to register to even lurk. Here, most people use this forum as an opportunity to drop a book cover or trailer down, then leave. You are more active in promoting your book, although your reason for being here -book promotion- is quite obvious, too.

That's ok, though, if people didn't find your posts entertaining, they wouldn't respond.

I took it to mean E.Don, but then I am nothing but a" disgusting hypocrite." I guess if I wish to be trusted, I should pretend to be someone else.

AW PHOOEY! If only I had known sooner. lol!

"'to 'glib" or "too 'glib."

It's amazing what deviation from standard usage, mechanics, and spelling can do. There is a "standard" for a reason.

too glibbly? Who would know?
Who would care?
We are too uneducated and rude to matter.
I cannot comprehend what James says or means.

The 657 lurkers get it--for sure! I hope.

I think James is saying that my answer was a bit glib, and that's what Betty responded to. He may well be right, however I still have to remind him that I don't think there is any way I could possibly care less about any of the topics I've seen him post so far.

C'mon, James, post something interesting...
