A great actress and legend has left us , the last of the Hollywood greats.
May she be at peace....

At only 79 too. Sad--she was so beautiful outside, but lacked something.

Her lack was not money or fame either.

She was amazingly beautiful. An English rose.

Meanwhile, Zsa Zsa's still going strong...

She was the last great star of old Hollywood, Elizabeth Taylor,
Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe, Ann Baxter, the names go on,
none of the so called stars of today have the talent nor the
elegance or glamour....

Actually, I think Elizabeth Taylor was beautiful through and through with grit and determination to have passion in her life - the life she lived as she chose. She endured extreme physical pain with grace, faced her demons with courage and in the face of great condemnation went after the men she loved and won them. She acted every role with talent. She worked hard and did not cause trouble on the set except with her love entanglements at a time in movie production when stars worked more movies than they do today. She devoted her name and wealth to a controversial cause and befriended people that were equally controversial.

I have always envied her beauty, grit, passion and determination to live life on her terms - ahead of her time. She reinvented herself many times and struggled with emotional issues that led to extreme weight gains and losses as well as physical pain. I always felt if she could ever get control of her weight, I could too. I have admired her since her first starring roles as a child and watch her moves today as though it's the first time.

I heard it said she wanted one more romance before her life came to an end, a woman in tune with many an ordinary woman living an ordinary life. I will miss her. She was unique among her own colleagues. I'm sorry she died so young, but she was at last released from her physical pain.

Really sorry to hear about Liz. I immediately thought of her playing opposite Paul Newman in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. It didn't get better.
