I agree that thanks are in order. Getting to know a person on a forum can be difficult and opinions/impressions are formed on what they write.

When my youngest daughter was in High School, she had an assignment to write about her parents. The statement that my wife and I had a big laugh over was her comment about her parents: "They're really nice once you get to know them."

Those who have been around Shelagh on this and other forums and had a chance to get to know her, respect her. If I had to choose, I would rather be respected, than liked. Of course we prefer both.

Attempting to carry on a rational conversation with you is apparently not possible. I am addressing this thread for one reason only - to endorse (your word) Alice and Shelagh.

When you came here, we disagreed with you. We attempted to do so in an agreeable manner. Your response was rude, arrogant, and disagreeable.

You have taken advantage of the policy of this forum, which is to allow all members to express thenselves openly. We have reserved, and used, our right of rebuttal. Instead of giving a rational response, you have been verbally abusive, and have brought your attitude and close-minded comments onto threads and comments that had nothing to do with your agenda, which, as I see it, is to sell your book by ramming its premise down our throats.

I respect Shelagh's right as administrator to choose how to respond. I cannot tell Alice or anyone else here what they ought to do, but I can tell you that I will not address you or your posts anymore, no matter what they contain. I respectfully request that you do the same regarding mine.
