THE USA IS PUTTING IT'S NOSE WHERE IT DOESN'T BELONG !

Just read that the USA is asking the Pres. Of Egypt to resign as of
tomorrow and to set up a short term govt., I think where putting
our nose into something that's going to backfire as usual...

Your point is well taken. If Mubarak resigns at the request of America, that will backfire.
Within our own country, many want the President to do something. Doing nothing is viewed as wrong. If he does or says anything, it is seen by others as interference. It is a no-win situation for our President. The path of least resistance is most likely the path he will take.

By doing nothing, the word is that the President supports a regime not supported by the people and any new government will not be a friend of the U.S.

By doing something, the word is that the President is sticking his nose in where it does not belong.

Perhaps he can have someone cut him in half; each half do something different.

It doesn't matter what President Obama does,the Republicans lay in wait to tar and feather him. All the energy they are putting into repealing the health care reform could be better used to create economic development.

Economic development has taken a back seat, however I think it will be at the top of the Republican agenda come the next election. How many will ask why they did nothing before? Taking away things that benefit the needy is their current agenda, and yet those people who got taken will vote for the taker.

We need a third party. We need someone to head that party who is not affiliated with any political party. Someone who doesn't give a s**t what others say, but will work for the general welfare, as mentioned in the Preamble to the Constitution. Do you know of anyone that fits that description, besides DK? She needs some competition.

Your right ! If we say anything a certain way, the radical
factions in Egypt will say we were backing the Pres. of Egypt.
It's a very fine thin line, remember Iran what happened.It seems
people there today are determined to drag him out of office, if it
were me , I would have been out of their days ago, now it's too
late......

In regards to the "dream team," I'm afraid there are skeletons in my closet so no president position for me! Anyway, a job where there's always someone tearing you down is not my dream job. I'd end up in the zoo, probably swinging from a tree at money island.

I will try to be fair, here is my agenda.

Executive Orders.

1. Cut Military budget by 40%

2. Bring home all troops, including those in countries
like Western Europe where they can protect themselves.

3. Heavily fine all companies that don't make products here
in the USA , the fines would start at $500,000- , they
must hire only American workers. If companies refuse to
create business in the USA and they insist on having
products made out of USA, then they pay a 50% TAX !

4. Heavy dusty on Chinese imports 35%

5. Re-educate the 14.5 million un-employed , give them
choices , A. Teacher B. Medical Workers C. Govt. loan
to start your own business. To be paid back over a 10
year loan with 1% interest.

6. 10% increase for Seniors with Social Security

7. Create a one tax system , 10 % Middle Class , 25%
Wealth , NO DEDUCTIONS.

8. Children must attend school, 9 AM - 5 PM , 6 days a
week. Parent's have to be responsible and be apart
of their education. If they want to go to college they
can get loan from Federal Govt. at 1% 10 year period.

9. Overhaul the Immigration system, it's in chaos ! If your
caught here illegally you are sent back, you must file to
apply to re-enter, pay a fine $1,000.00. You must learn
English, this is the national language of the country, how
else do you expect to get ahead. You want to get ahead
and make yourself proud and your children proud of you.
Educate yourself , make a career for yourself.

10. Overhaul FEMA , it's a disgrace, it must be ready and
available at any given moment of a national emergency.


11. Overhaul the tax code for big Corp. have them pay 25%
on all income wether it's earned here or over there.
Small business trying to make a go of it would pay 10%.

12. All taxes wether it be savings, investments will be abolished,
the American people are taxed on their earnings, they
shouldn't be taxed on their savings.


Now I'm headed to Camp David, I need a rest after this..

As you know, I see some areas for refinement. I would like to suggest a non-partisan commission to study some of the consequences of a couple proposals.

Interesting discussion. There are solutions. Getting them passed or implemented is the biggest problem. The people with the money/power will spend it to protect their wealth programs.

Change won't be easy, but the end of the journey begins with the first step. It may also be compared to slicing a role of salami - one slice at a time will get the whole role.
