| There's probably snow in the Florida Panhandle somewhere. I'd go with Hawaii - don't think they ever had snow anywhere in Hawaii....unless manmade like in Dubai. |

| This morning, I covered my plants again, covered the lemon and lime trees and put lamps under for heat, covered my chickens, turned on a drip line so the house lines do not freeze, felt very greatful for central heat and will wake up each hour to check the temperature so that we can turn the overhead water on the strawberry crop as soon as the temperature reaches 34. Tonight is is supposed to reach 27 degrees. Monday, it was a lovely 78. I love Florida. Love, Betty |

| Cold weather this night, again. I have a thermometer that sits on my night table that registers the temperature outside so I do not have to go out to see what it is. Thank God for that invention. Between the well burning up on New Years Eve, and the freezing temps at night, and the lack of concern by the well drilling people, our hydroponic crop has been without nutrient for three weeks. No one is in a hurry. I begin to doubt. I doubt that small companies are as hard pressed as we are led to believe. I wonder if small buisness owners are profiting, on a smaller scale, just as the big corporations are, in this "recession" and are not willing to come out in cold weather. Perhaps it is all lies about the state of the country. What I do know is that our investment for this year and several years past is gone. By the time the well is done and the plants can be nourished, this years window for profit from strawberries will be over. Maybe it is just bad luck. Perhaps my karma is crappie. A crappie is a fish. I have to remember that when I consider crappie stuff, and crappie's have fed many people. Love, Betty |

| They say that Global Warming can cause extremes of both heat and cold in weird places, because the whole weather system gets thrown off-kilter. Maybe its all humans havingKrappie Karma.
Sorry about the crops, Betty.
