Time to call Fox Mulder out of retirement. This sounds like an X-File to me.

Very interesting! As many cows were found dead and (in some cases) their innards removed. Others die by lightning. Although I’d guess it was not the lightning itself, but the collapsing magnetic field that is so often not observed
