Ebenezer Scrooge! It is a family tradition. We watch it every Christmas Eve!

The one with the bank - and the angel earning his wings. I can cry just remembering the movie I've seen too many times to count.
I also have my own that I post every year at my web site - a Christmas story in Germany when the sailor was standing at the gate of the 16th century church in the falling snow and moonlight from midnight service to greet his fiance, my best friend. who had waited for him in Germany with my husband and me for a couple days, not knowing for certain if he'd arrive or when from his ship in Cannes, France.
Then there's the story Dick Stodghill told of his time in the service at the end of the war, hearing sounds in the workshop basement of a building at the edge of the post. He caught the culprit, a German father with nothing left in the world, risking his life to sneak into the workshop to build a present for his son since he had nothing left to offer at Christmas, everything lost in the war. They didn't turn him in - and the story is told by Dick as only he could tell a story.

I think Sheila found it and posted it last year - some stories need repeating. I 'm glad you enjoyed it as much as me, Joe. I sure shed tears at the first reading, back in the days of the PAMB when I read things in the quiet of the midnight hours.

I have many favorites. One is Matthew 1:18-2:23 with Luke 1:26-2:40 of the New Testament. Another can be found on the blog page of my website, "Christmas in the Piney Woods - 1947"
