If a second book like this is ever put to print - I'd love to contribute.
My story would be, "Crossing the Pacific on a troop ship," it'd be a tale of mis-adventure.
One night, for instance, it was hotter than blazes below deck so I found a deck gun that had a canvas cover and I crawled in. I woke up to the sound of them calling my name at morning roll call.
"Oh dear - how to get out of here ..."

When I looked at the back cover on Lulu, the print was mush. That aside, I sent out a group email at Book Marketing Network announcing the launch of my short story, "Don't Worry - Be Happy" in your Forever Travels. If each of us promotes our own stories in the book, that's a lot of promotion (lots of stories!) for the book in a broad spectrum of advertising media.
I'm proud to be with such a diverse and international set of authors. Shelagh does an excellent job of those anthologies. Another thing I like is that she lists herself as "editor." Many anthologies carry the editor as the "author," and it's a bit misleading...not intentionally; but I like how Shelagh is quick to give credit to everyone when she put it together.
Congrats to all who contributed a story or two. I'm looking forward to the ebook...

On another forum, authors are making book trailers for their anthology short stories. I'm no good at making my own, but I can certainly think of some exciting moments to show for Dunn's River Falls, Jamaica. I may try one yet. Next is to get a direct link on my web site to the anthology. Any suggestions? I put a book cover for the Amazon ones that links direct to Amazon.com. Will it be on Amazon.com? If so, I need to tag it there to connect to my other books.

I don't use any because I never find the slides I need and just found it frustrating. I did try one so long ago I forgot the brand. It was one recommended as "easy." I am just fortunate that Darryl Saffer did my Ghost Orchid trailer as he is a pro. My Arirang: The Bamboo Connection trailer that was done by Tabitha Robin was taken down from YouTube for some reason - and I've no copies anywhere. I think she used some material that was copyrighted - I had concerns about that but assumed if she was selling trailers she understood copyright. Gone - Poof. The music was grand, especially the bamboo drums.

It's a nice trailer (and I'm going to buy the book -looks fabulous). I'm curious about something, though: I see you credited the photographs at the end, but not the music. Where did you get that, and is it public domain? I ask because I've always wondered about the obviously copyrighted music that many people put in their trailers, if that's allowed (I doubt it), and don't they have concerns about it.
DK mentioned that her Arirang trailer was pulled. I viewed it a long time ago, and wondered about the score; it sounded like a copyrighted piece. I also wondered about the photos; they were clearly grabbed off the internet, which is something you can't do for a published piece. Someone must have complained, which is why it was pulled.

Youtube informed me that the music was copyrighted and, accordingly, ads might appear with the video. The music was a free download. I guess there is an electronic signature on the download that sites like youtube can detect.
A copy of my book arrived today -- it's stunning! My husband said he'd never seen a more beautful book. He likes the feel of it as well as the looks.

The music was perfect for Forever Travels. I hope it can remain. That's why I was so thrilled (among other reasons) for my trailer by Darryl Saffer - his own original video clips and his own original music - no concerns.
I guess with Arirang: The Bamboo Connection, the trailer stayed up quite a while with its flaws in tact. It was definitely too long....but I did love the bamboo drums at the beginning. I was pretty "green" when I contracted to have the book trailer done; I assumed no legitimate person would charge me and put up a video that had copyright material.....
Did I understand you Joe, did you make a video for Forever Travels? How do we see it?

DK..
I had to take it down because I used Boccelli's music and I didn't want to be sued...I love his music especially the song:" Time To say Goodbye." I might make a new trailer for all my books combined and incude SHelagh's travel book to promote it.
