| I've been to Maui at this time of year. I played a jazz festival there once. It's great. It's the off season for tourists, so it isn't crowded, and prices are down. Go snorkling, do the bicycle ride down from the volcano, rent a jeep and tour the island. Drink umbrella drinks at an outdoor tiki bar. Don't wear much clothing. Have yourself a good time. I'm jealous. |

| Lucky you! Love Maui. We've taken two family vacations there, both times staying at the Maui Marriott. I have fond memories of jogging up and down Kaanapali beach, eating at Cheeseburger in Paradise at a window seat overlooking the ocean), and shopping in Lanai.
I want to go to Maui, too! |

| Hawaii is further than Europe to fly. I settle for the Caribbean. I did spend quite a bit of time in Honolulu flying to and from Korea many years ago. I have a friend wtih a time share in Kaui. Pictures are lovely. |

| We are home. What a trip. Thank God I am still alive. We were at Outriigger Resort at Napili Shores. Napili Beach is gorgeous.
The second day there I fell and skinned my right knee--as I looked at, it slowly dawned on me that I had best find a doctor. I have no spleen and had just had brain surgery a couple of weeks before. A dentist will not touch me without an antibiotic and any surgery is begun with an antibiotic. Infection is to be avoided.
We found a wonderful doctor who said she was glad we came because Maui has twice the rate of MERSA as other places.
I spent the rest of the trip feeling yucky because of the antibiotic and have only four more pills to take. During the long nights, I had plenty of time to pray for Carol and Tom, Joe, David and myself.
God was good to me and He will be good to them. He is no respector of persons. |

| Praise God!
I just got back from the Neurologist who declared my knee alright and who programmed me so I can walk and move about at will. I have taken my last antibiotic pill and life is good again. Now just drug withdrawal times two.
I was discouraged--yucky from antibiotic, tired of needing help--now I am independent. What a change!
The doctor went to write me a prescription and I said, "I am going to practice walking." I shot up and down the hallway and told the doctor, "You are an answer to prayer."
