Wowie! What a complex book, and a great read, too. Couldn't put it down. How did the author EVER keep all its parts and layers straight? This was a debut novel, yet.

Anyone here read it?

Drat. I read the title of this thread and thought you were saying you finished writing it, thus outing your identity.

Now, I have to look into it. My novel has a bunch of character and plot twists, and it is, indeed difficult to keep things clear. Especially when the protagonist goes through multiple identity changes through the course of the story.

In TTTW, the protagonist goes through multiple time changes throughout the book. He literally meets himself coming and going. It was hard to follow at times, but always interesting. I wonder what the author's visuals looked like.

There is a movie from 67, "Two For The Road," which has flashback (and forth) scenes. As the movie moves from past to present or the other way, the characters pass themselves on the road. A really good movie.

I watch it because the theme music (same name) is my favorite Mancini composition. It was Mancini's favorite too. Story is that he was exploring its many harmonic variations at the piano the day he died.
