Hi Everyone..MUST READ - ALFRED HITCHCOCK' S PSYCHO Icon_biggrin

This is a great review on how Psycho was made.
I remember when I saw it in the cinema I jumped
out of my seat, never took another shower again
without the door being locked...Have you ever
seen this film ? It was a piece of genius, a master
at work...

I saw it at the Naval base where my husband was stationed in Beeville, Texas. At the time, movies on base were only 10 cents. My husband, jet pilot, loved horror movies. I did not, but everyone was going to see psycho.

And indeed I have not taken a shower at night since and sometimes we joke about NOT staying at any motel that even resembles the Bates Motel.

I also was seven months pregnant with twins. I'm sure they felt my horror and fear. I vowed I would see no more horror shows when pregnant.

I hate horror movies. They're just horrible.

I heard the blood was HERSHE'Y'S CHOCOLATE SYRUP.

Truly sickening and horrific!

I agree with Abe.

I saw Psycho in the theater, and vowed it would be my last horror film. Then, in my sophomore year in college, my Art Appreciation professor insisted we see Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. I went, but that was definitely the last.

Just because something is well done doesn't mean I have to witness it.

Just me.

Hitchcock was a genius , his film was tame
compared to the slah murder films made 15
years later, matter of fact the 1930's Universal
horror films with Karloff and Lugosi were tame..

I loved Bette Davis and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane. I loved Carrie. I loved Motel Hell.

I agree, Joe, those great movies were mild compared to some of today's stuff. The Shining was great.
Love,
Betty

Betty..

Yes, " What Ever Happened To
Baby Jane," is a classic, two great film
stars.....None of the old movies could
ever be re-made because the so called
Hollywood of today has no talent. Plain
and simple they can't act. It's a shame
all they make is films with special effects.

Cheers..Joe
