Dear Alice,
I have been pulling out the weeds. In my life, many weeds have come my way. I have books on weeds so I know which weed is which. The one's I have been pulling out were in my rose gardens. Roses do not need weeds. I have a butterfly garden where weeds rule. Butterflies love weeds if they are agregate. So do hummingbirds. Those many faceted flowers like lantana, or penta, or milkweed. Well, butterflies are not too particular. They are nectar adicts.

My David is a honey person. There is a theory that if you are alergic to the plants in the area in which you live, get honey that bees make from that area, you will be cured of anything that ails you.

I suppose there are limtations to the curative powers of honey, but it is worth a try. There was, a long, long, long while back that the honey made from the chaparral flower cured cancers. It had a good review in all the papers, then. I wonder if it would help some. They used to make tea, too.

I have always thought that the Ocotilla flowers were a secret cure for many things.
Lin might know of these things. Forgive my spelling.

Love,
Betty

Might not be accurate. The peas aren't mushy.
