A lot of friends here

As this is Christmas Eve, and as there are several people here that I like, let me wish for all of you the very best of Christmases, regardless of your faith or how you celebrate the season. Please know that by me wishing you Merry Christmas, I am wishing for all of you the very best that life can offer. For some I wish for better health, for some that they will finally find the publisher they are looking for, and for others that they just keep being the gentle persons I know them to be. May 2010 be your year of fulfillment, and may every step you take bring you closer to a loved one, an old friend, or to the realization of a goal. Some one said a week or so ago that I was lurking. Believe me, I'm not. I was asked then to comment and I did so. I am here tonight because I care about many of you, and I sincerely wish you nothing but the best.

I hope there are many people lurking and reading our posts and wanting what we have, a place to practice our thoughts in an environment of camaraderie, whether those thoughts are unique or find agreement.

I miss your posts, Don; sometimes I stop posting for a while but am always drawn back after I "lurk" for a while to those I've communicated with for several years and new people with so much to offer.

The holiday season is still here, the New Year ready to open new vistas to all. Each day is a gift, the beginning for someone. I wish all your days full of joy and peace and promise. Thank you for your holiday greeting.

I have mixed feelings about those who come and go, return and go again. There is obviously something that draws them. Is it the camaraderie as suggested by DK? Could it be a feeling of a home base? Then there are those who operate as though in a revolving door. Some who left in anger may regret their decision once the anger subsides, but their pride prevents them from returning since they made some declaration.

A New Year is approaching. There is an opportunity to wipe the slate clean by forgetting the past. One doesn't have to make a declaration that says, "I'm back again," just as one doesn't need to justify a reason for leaving. Since there is no "ignore" button, one can simply refrain from responding.

There is no pledge of allegiance to be part of this forum. Sometimes we're simply too busy writing or there is nothing of interest to say to make a response.

Let us know you're alive and well, and if you wish, what you're doing.

I missed this thread -- I'm staying with my parents up north. Hope you had a great Christmas. You are always welcome here.
