I'm a researcher. That's what I do. From that image, I found your publisher and, from your first name, I found your book, so I can confirm that the image is not false. It is good to know that the book is doing well.

The book is selling at $19.95. If 10% royalties are paid on the 50% discounted price, you received approximately one dollar for every book sold and, therefore, sold about 14,500 copies of the book.

I have read parts of the book -- I think I found it on the Google books programme. It is a fine book and I am sure that anyone buying the book would enjoy reading it.

That's what I'm trying to do. I want people to enjoy reading my books irrespective of the number of copies sold. You have suggested that I should find a better publisher to ensure greater sales and there is nothing wrong with that advice.

The main difference between your competitors and mine is that your competition is not nearly as formidable. I have to compete with J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyers.

I have to write a second book that is better than the first. Anything less is just not good enough. I have written six chapters of an eighteen chapter sequel, which needs a complete rewrite because it isn't good enough. Yes, I will work at it and, if I succeed, I will submit to better publishers.

The agents who turn me down would be as delighted as me if I could produce something they could sell; after all, that is the way they make their money.

Well done on the sales. One day I might match you -- but don't hold your breath.
