Checking You're Online Marketing Presence

Your online presence is important when it comes to your author media blog or site. When checking your online links presence, go straight to the source.

Don't depend on one of those quick links checkers or someone else's search engine to do it for you. Go to the source. The Google, Yahoo and MSN robots are constantly updating the information, keeping it current and correct.

Knowing how many links you have on the major search engines is important. Building and multiplying those links is also important. It's also important to know what page positions you have not just under your web site address, but under various word and sentence searches online.

For example, I just used one of those services that checks you're online presence on one of my sites. I simply provided the site address, pressed send and bamb! There were my numbers. So it said.

It basically stated that I had very little online presence or links. However when I Googled that same site, Google came back with the real numbers. Results 1 - 10 of about 104,000. Here is the link that Google provided for the search of inhisgloriousnameministriesonline.blogspot.com

Look at it this way. Lets cap it at 100 blogs that are all interlinked and networked with each blog and with other blogging networks and communinites. Now add say 1,000 post to each of those 100 blogs, which is a low number.

Basic math.

But there are only 85 results!

There are ten results per page. 8 pages would be 80 results, but what about all the other pages?

It seems that we already did this. First you stated that there were only 85 results, which was incorrect. I provided a link that showed additional results and you now supplied a link that showed 443 results saying that's the last page, which is again incorrect. I could add additional links, however what's the purpose.

How many pages does Google list under one search?
What is the cap on pages under one search?
Does that cap change from time to time and do the pages also change?
When performing one search, then another and then another under the same search, does that also re arrange things?

What would be the purpose of supplying all the pages under one search that showed 20,000 links, 50,000 links, or 100,000 links?

Further, what about all the other words searches, literaly thousands and thousands and thousands of them, not to mention the additional sites and posts that (are and are not) associated to that particular http?

That's one search under only 1 http and I have another 149 https plus four huge networks that are associated to additional https, plus membership in an additional 20 plus communities with additional http's, which get millions of visitors each month.

4,000 is a drop in the bucket.

The numbers don't lie and the numbers are correct.

Here is a author that I did some online marketing for. Before I started the marketing, his name was not found on the Internet.

"Author Eric Zehnder" Results 901 - 910 of about 46,800

Here is the link associated to the above results which is capped at page 100, just like Google.

Whether you are impressed with it or not, is not the question or the purpose of the original post. The purpose of the original post was to offer some suggestions to other authors about how to check thier online presence, whereas I quoted some numbers from Google which you challenged.

The title of this post was "Checking You're Online Marketing Presence" not "Let's Compete".

The Purpose of this post was to "Offer Some Suggestions" not "Let's Debate" and "Challenge One Another" or "Compare Sites".
