Have you ever thought that, as human beings, we can be really awful when it comes to tooting our own horns? Part of the reason I love this forum is that we are quite unabashed when it comes to sharing good news. So...today I received recognition as a card carrying member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada. That means that I have been paid for a certain number of published words and that I can officially charge the pro rates and call myself a professional. I think that qualifies for a glass of wine with dinner!

I think that calls for a bottle of champagne, not just a glass of wine! Congratulations, Pam!

I think recognition for personal achievement is great. Perhaps Canada will have started a new trend.

Well Abe, stranger things have happened. Canadians are known for maple syrup, toques and chesterfields, so really anything could happen, and with luck or a little strategic planning, perhaps it'll spread. <--a picture of me in a toque again because it's good and chilly here again today!

Shiela it snowed here the day before yesterday, but today is 10 degrees and sunny. My daughter and I walked along the beach this afternoon and saw all kinds of birds there and on the drive out. Spring has arrived, and I am sure it is heading your way too!
