that's some article. It is actually a bit too much. I lost interest half way through and skimmed the rest. What I gathered from it was that things in the publishing industry are pretty screwed up and it's going to get worse.

The article went on a ways, didn't it. Another friend of mine looked at some of the points and said, so it's really a crap shoot?"

I think that the big guys are hurting themselves. It is also the reason that small houses are doing better.

Brings out the reasons I never wanted a thing to do with it.

Hollywood went the same way. Actors became independent, and took charge of their own talent.

I don't believe things will get better...nor do I know what should be done. As for me; I will keep writing. I think we missed the golden age.

But, I'm still going for a New York Publisher.

What the hell...it's all vanity.
