| 9/29/2009 Hi Everyone... Who are your favorite authors past or prsent ? I'll go first. I just got a copy of John Steinbeck's " Travels With Charlie," original paperback , it cost in 1962 .75 cents would you believe it ! I'm enjoying his writing, he has a very interesting way of writing like he's talking to a friend. I do know some of Steinbeck's works through film, one of my favorites with Henry Fonda " The Grapes of Wrath," I love it. They list his other books that I have to get copies of. " Tortilla Flat" , " Of Mice And Men," ( I know the film great acting by Lon Chaney Jr. And Burgess Meredith) " The Red Pony," " Cannery Row," " The Wayward Bus," " East Of Eden," " The Winter Of Our Discontent" Cheers..Joe... |
