|  I think these wikis are an excellent way to try and add meaning to specific jargon contained in our books. For example, a reader could read the first paragraph on page 60 in my novel: Joey was at work in the starship’s main control room
inside the Navigation and Control Complex, located east
of Utopia. Having finished his scheduled tasks for the day, he was playing a game of virtual tennis with CPC.
and wonder annoyingly:
- Who the hell is Joey?
- What exactly is the 'Navigation and Control Complex'??
- What the heck does CPC stand for??!

| I must say this is the first time I've ever seen author do a wiki themselves. Mostly I've seen fan groups do them. Verrrrrrrrrrry cool! |

The easiest way to check how many people threw stuff into my wiki is to click on page history http://firstarktoalphacentauri.wikia.com/index.php?title=First_Ark_to_Alpha_Centauri_Wiki&action=history There's 6 different contributors so far.
